Traditional Climbing Course in Squamish

Aller à la page en Français

Squamish is one those mythical places that, for decades, have been part of the evolution of traditional climbing. Squamish is of an international caliber and is often cited as one of the most beautiful destinations for traditional climbers. What makes Squamish such a magic place?

The breathtaking landscapes, the huge trees, the multi-pitch routes on the majestic Chief, its short approaches, its perfect granite, the camp site with climbers from all over the world are only examples of the energy residing in Squamish. What a place for an introduction to traditional climbing! You will learn how to place gear while imagining the pioneers who opened the routes with wood wedges, bolts and nailed boots…

This trip is a perfect mix between guided multi-pitch climbing and a trad climbing course. During the last days of the trip the objective is for you to be able to climb a multi-pitch route on your own. Since each climber may be on a different level, the objectives and the difficulty level will be adjusted to fit everyone.
